Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about how Wovara CRM connects to WhatsApp, what it costs, and what's actually included — checked against the product, not written to sound good.

What is Wovara?
Wovara CRM is a WhatsApp CRM for growing businesses. It connects your WhatsApp Business number to a shared team inbox, broadcast campaigns, a full contact database and AI agents, so every customer conversation is answered, recorded and followed up — not stuck on one person’s phone.
How does Wovara work?
You connect your WhatsApp Business Account through Meta’s official Embedded Signup, then your team replies from a shared inbox inside Wovara. Contact records, tags and lead scoring update as the conversation happens, campaigns go out on approved message templates, and automations or an AI agent can handle the repetitive parts.
Does Wovara use WhatsApp Business API?
Yes. Wovara is built on the official WhatsApp Business Platform (what used to be called the WhatsApp Business API), not an unofficial or reverse-engineered integration. Connecting a number goes through Meta’s own Embedded Signup, so nothing about your access depends on a workaround Meta could shut down.
Can multiple team members use Wovara?
Yes — that’s the core of it. Everyone works from one shared inbox: conversations can be assigned to a specific person, teammates can leave internal notes, and chats can be tagged and resolved together. No one needs to hold the phone that owns the number to answer a chat.
Can I automate WhatsApp messages?
Yes, in two ways. Scripted automation flows handle predictable moments — confirmations, reminders, follow-ups — and an AI agent can be trained on your own FAQs and policies to hold a real conversation. You control exactly which actions the AI agent is allowed to take; with nothing enabled, it can only reply.
Can I send WhatsApp broadcasts?
Yes. You can send approved message templates to a segmented list as a broadcast campaign, with delivery and read reporting per campaign and opt-out handling built in, so campaigns stay compliant with WhatsApp’s own messaging rules.
Can I manage leads?
Yes. Wovara includes a real CRM behind the chat — contact records, custom fields, tags, lifecycle/pipeline stages and lead scoring — that updates as conversations happen instead of being typed in afterwards.
Can I connect my existing WhatsApp number?
Yes. During Embedded Signup you can connect a WhatsApp Business Account you already use, including the coexistence option that keeps your existing number working the way it does today while Wovara adds the team inbox on top — or you can start fresh with a new number. Either way, your business keeps ownership of the WhatsApp Business Account and can disconnect at any time.
Is Wovara suitable for e-commerce?
Yes. Online stores use Wovara for abandoned-cart recovery messages, automatic order and delivery updates, pre-sale product questions answered from a shared inbox or an AI agent trained on the catalogue, and segmented broadcasts to past buyers.
Is Wovara suitable for small businesses?
Yes. Every account starts on a 14-day free trial with no card required. Contacts are unlimited on every plan — the entry tier is priced for a small team’s seat count, not for enterprise scale, and messages are billed from the wallet only when you actually send them rather than being capped by plan.
Can I integrate Wovara with other software?
Yes. Wovara connects to CRMs including HubSpot, Zoho CRM and Salesforce, e-commerce platforms including Shopify and WooCommerce, automation tools including Zapier and Make, plus Google Sheets and Slack — along with custom outgoing webhooks for anything not listed. Connect and manage these from Settings → Integrations.
How much does Wovara cost?
Wovara is priced as a monthly, quarterly or yearly subscription plan (quarterly saves 8%, yearly saves 20%) covering seats, contacts and features, plus a prepaid wallet for the per-message charges WhatsApp itself bills — shown as Meta’s cost and Wovara’s fee separately, never bundled. The AI agent is included from the first paid plan and billed from the same wallet only for the replies it actually sends. See the current rate card on the pricing page — prices are quoted exclusive of GST, which is added at checkout.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new account gets a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, so you can connect a number and try the shared inbox before paying anything.
How does WhatsApp pricing work?
WhatsApp itself charges per conversation by category and destination country — marketing, utility and authentication templates are priced, while service replies inside an open 24-hour window and messages through a Free Entry Point are free. Wovara passes through Meta’s published rate plus a fee that’s shown as a separate line, and bills both from your prepaid wallet rather than folding them into the flat plan price.
